Charles Humphrey, Sr, 56, passed away on May 13, 2019. He was born February 21, 1963 in Pine Bluff James Thomas Humphrey Sr and Faye Jean Pierce.

Charles graduated Pine Bluff High School Class of 1982. He enlisted in the United States Army at Fort Campbell, Kentucky and proudly served 4+ years.

He loved his family dearly and enjoyed getting together and having potlucks with everyone. Charles enjoyed Bass Fishing. He above all loved to cook and bake with his Mom for the holidays amidst many laughs, hugs, and tears. Life was hard for him daily and he struggled to overcome his trials and illness, but God was always a part of his daily life. Brother Jim Couch was his Spiritual support whom he loved with all his heart and soul.

Charles is preceded in death by his father James T. Humphrey, Sr and ex-wife Pattie J. James. He is survived by his mother Faye J. Sawyers; dad Leonard Sawyers; ex-wife Marian P. Rodriguez Humphrey; sons Charles Ray Humphrey, Jr and Tommy L. Humphrey; brothers James T. Humphrey, Jr (Tina), Ronnie L. Humphrey (Dawn), and Boyce Sawyers; sister Eunissa Shickles (Terry); and nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held May 22, 2019 at 10:00 am at Fitzhugh Cemetery off Camden Cutoff Road in Pine Bluff. His Graveside Memorial Service will follow at 11:00am.

David Francis Hall, 76, of Jacksonville, Arkansas passed from this life on Friday, May 17, 2019. He was born on March 23, 1943 in Gravette, Arkansas to the late Gilbert F. and Merrill Irene Hall. David was a retired Chief Master Sgt.with the United States Air Force where he served as an aircraft mechanic and from the Federal Aviation Administration where he served as an aircraft inspector. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, restoring old cars and trucks, running marathons, but most of all he loved spending time with his family and grandchildren. He will greatly be missed, but his infectious personality and willingness to help others will always be remembered.

He is survived by his loving wife Winona Hall of 44 years; six children Kristyn Porter (Shane), Lonnie Forester (Tammy), Joy Baney (Matt), David F Hall Jr, Michelle Reed, Kimberly Hall; twelve grandchildren Kinley, Karsyn, Kade and Karaline Porter, Krystal Milne, Timothy Jr and Tiffany Forbes, David and Michael Vanover, Mya, Lane and Anna Shields; three great-grandchildren Jaiden Hamilton, Vanessa and Victoria Forbes; siblings Sidney Merrill Hall and Dorothy Elaine Hall and a host of other loving family and friends. David is also preceded in death by his granddaughter Krashiena Vanover.

Visitation will be on Wednesday evening from 6-8pm at A Natural State Funeral Service in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, May 23, 2019 at 10:30 am at the funeral home with burial to follow at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock, Arkansas.

David Pitcock, 65, of Ward passed away on Saturday, May 18, 2019 in Little Rock, Arkansas.  He was born on November 17, 1953 to the late George V. and Hassie P. Pitcock. 

He is preceded in death by his brothers Randy Paul and George Vernon Pitcock Jr.

He is survived by his son Scott Colby Pitcock; Girlfriend Jan DeCap; Stepson Dusten DeCap; Grandson Julien DeCap, Sister Pat Jennings (Clyde); Brother Gary Pitcock as well as many other friends and family who loved him dearly.

David proudly served in the United States Army overseas in Germany, Loved Woodworking, was always known as a very Hard worker, and most of all loved spending time with his family.

A Private Memorial service will be planned and held at a later time by his family.

Frederick “Rick” H. Homer Jr. 61, of Sherwood, Arkansas gained his angel wings Sunday, May 19, 2019. He was born on November 23, 1957 in Little Rock, Arkansas to Frederick H. Homer Sr, and Alma Homer. Rick served as a volunteer fireman for the Gravel Ridge Volunteer Fire Department from the time he was sixteen years old until his retirement in 1996. He had a heart of gold and was always willing to help anyone who was in need.

He leaves behind his loving wife of 42 years Avanda Homer; mother Alma Homer; daughter Kayla Yagel (Matthew); sister Dianna McCallie (Gary) and several other loving family members and friends. Rick is preceded in death by his father Frederick H. Homer Sr. and his sister Denna Beavers.

A Family memorial celebration of life will be held on May 30, 2019 at 5:00pm at Kellogg Valley Baptist Church in Sherwood, Arkansas.

Richard Theodor West, age 69, of Chidester, passed away on Monday,  May 20, 2019.  He was born in Lake Village, Arkansas on August 11, 1949. He was a United States Air Force Veteran.

Richard is survived by his wife, Vera West; children, Brenda Baker, Susan West, Rebecca Copeland, and Micheal Dooley; grandchildren, Jacob West, Kristina Davenport, Magen West, Keaton and Kaeton Baker; great-grandchild, Daisy Davenport; siblings, Clifford West (Betty), Robert West (Glenda), Rebecca Black (Donnie), and Ronnie West (Phyllis), and numerous other grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Paul Edward Warner, 46, of Scott, Arkansas passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2019.  He was born on August 7, 1972 in North Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Paul Victor Warner and Donna Rae Buttler-Warner.

Paul was a professional long-haul driver for many years for Pat Salmon and Sons, North Little Rock, Arkansas

He is preceded in death by his two sisters.

Paul leaves behind his loving wife Karen Warner; his daughter Kara Warner-Ashley and three grandchildren Lillian, Gabriel and Gage; aunt Barbara Jordan and his only nephew Dustin Warner.

Garland Irving Baker, Jr., 71, of Hot Springs, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, May 21, 2019.  He was born in Jonesboro, Arkansas on March 28, 1948 to the late Garland I. Baker, Sr. and Nellie Hogg-Baker.

He was an avid sportsman who loved being outdoors and proudly served in the United States Navy and served in the Vietnam Conflict.

He is preceded in death by his wife Sharron Baker. Garland leaves behind his loving daughters Jessica Baker and Robyn Baker.

A family hosted memorial service will be held at a later date.

Roy Clifford Henderson, Jr., 59, Lonoke passed away on May 13, 2019. He was born in Clarendon, Arkansas to the late Roy Clifford Henderson, Sr. and Lois Lindsey Henderson. Roy was a member of the Church of Latter-day Saints and enjoyed Cooking and Genealogy.

Roy is survived by his sons Roy Clifford Henderson III (Melissa) of Ward, James L. Henderson (Ashley) of Austin, Richard D. Henderson (Felicia) of Lonoke; his daughter Clairice M. Henderson of Lonoke; his sister Patsy Raines (Jerry) of Little Rock, Nancy Williams of Havana, Cathy Henderson of Little Rock, Gloria Thompson (Keith) of Southport, Florida; his brother Howard Henderson (Devona) of Ward; his stepmom Carolyn Henderson of Beebe; and 13 Grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held Claredon Methodist Church at 121 North 3rdStreet, Clarendon, Arkansas 72029, Saturday, May 18, 2019 at 10am by Reverend Heather Clawitter.

William (Kic) Wheeler, 83

William (Kic) Wheeler, 83, of Jacksonville passed away May 16, 2019.  He was born in Old Hickory, Tennessee on April 8, 1936 to the late Henry and June Wheeler.

He was an honored member of the United States Airforce, for 25 years, where he served proudly and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross.  He also served in the United States Marine Corp; owned and operated K&E Equipment in Sherwood, Arkansas for nearly 25 years before retiring. He is a member of the Military Road Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by a sister Linda Jackson.

William leaves behind the love of his life and wife of over 50 years, Eileen Wheeler; three sons Mark Wheeler of Opello, Arkansas, Tom Wheeler (Marlis) of Jacksonville, Arkansas and James Wheeler of Cabot, Arkansas; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren as well as a sister Mary Benton of Madison, Tennessee and many friends, family and loved ones.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, May 20, 2019, at Military Road Baptist Church, Jacksonville, Arkansas and followed by memorial services at 11:00 am.

Ross A. Schultz, SR., 66, of North Little Rock passed away on May 17, 2019.  He was born on April 8, 1953 in North Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Alfred T. Schultz and Mary Jo Morgan-Schultz.

Ross was a bailiff for 4thdivision Circuit Clerk in Pulaski County for 34 years.  He was a graduate of the Little Rock Police Department Police Academy in 1983.  He was also a member of the Arkansas Air National Guard for 11 years.  He was also private security for Winthrop P. Rockefeller and his family from 1978 to 1983.

He is preceded in death by his brother Gordon G. Schultz.

He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Cecilia Kay Schultz; two sons Ross Schultz, Jr. and Christopher Schultz (Jamie); three grandchildren Cheyanne Schultz (Greg), Tyler Schultz and Emily Schultz; as well as a host of nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be May 21, 2019 at The Church at Burns Park, 295 W. Military Road, North Little Rock at 10:00 AM, followed by service at 11:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Church at Burns Park.

Frank Fredrick Koposesky, 72, of Malvern passed away on May 14, 2019. Frank was a retired Magnet Cove School District Custodian. He enjoyed fishing, dogs, and spending time with the elderly.

He is preceded in death by his sister Juna Bell Coones. He is survived by his brother Robert Coones.

Dorothy Ward Rodgers, 90

Dorothy Ward Rodgers, 90, of Fairfield Bay, walked through the gates of heaven and met her Savior and embraced our Dad, Vernon Rodgers, and her family on Thursday, May 23, 2019, just 5 days after what would have been 73rd wedding anniversary. She grieved the loss of her husband, our Dad, for the past 2 years and talked continuously about being reunited with him in heaven.

Dorothy was born June 25, 1928 to Tollie William Ward and Martha Ruth White in Benton, Arkansas. Her first love was for her Savior, Jesus Christ. Her second love was for her family: parents, husband, children, grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews, and extended family and friends. Dorothy was loving, compassionate and caring while dedicated to serving others. She was always the first to volunteer to help others. Her love for her animals was unconditional.

Dorothy has now been reunited in her Heavenly home with her sisters Jean Ward and Carolyn Quittner; brother Claud Ward; and nephew Kelly Stewart. She leaves a large loving family to honor her memory: children Tracy Lynn Rodgers Caldwell (Wallace) and Lisa Anne Rodgers Barnes (Tony); grandson Teddy Barnes (Justina) and Tyler Barnes (Rylee); great-grandchild Hayden Barnes and Jasper Barnes; nephew Alan Stewart (Beth), Mike Ward, and David Ward (Sandy); great-nephew Matt Stewart (Kaitlyn); and other extended family.

Memorials in her honor can be made to Fairfield Bay Baptist Church, 481 Dave Creek Parkway, Fairfield Bay, Arkansas 72088 and to Youth Home, Inc., 20400 Colonel Glenn Road, Little Rock, Arkansas 72210. Her family has arranged a private memorial service to be set at a later date.
