Donald Hines, age 82, of Little Rock passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2019. He was born on December 4, 1936 in Gooding, Idaho to the late William Albert and Gladys Eddings-Hines.
He proudly served in the United States Navy and was a professional truck driver.

Tim Owens, 53, left this world on Monday, April 22, 2019 at his home in Smackover. He was born on August 8, 1965 to Glenda Hebert, of Smackover, Arkansas and Glen Owens of Wesson, Arkansas.
Tim worked as a CNC Machinist his entire life and was highly intelligent. He was known for his sarcastic sense of humor and was beloved by everyone for his good heart.
Tim is preceded in death by his father Johnny Hebert.
He is survived by his best friend, Mary Owens, his two children; Nicki Owens and Heather Nix (Josh), his parents, his grandchildren; Layla, Elias, Addie, Parker, and Christian, his brothers; Mike Owens (Teresa), Barry Owens (Amy), Wayne Owens (Lori) and Glen Owens Jr., and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.

Fred Ray Martin, 73 of Mabelvale, Arkansas passed from this life on Tuesday, April 23, 2019. He was born in Sevierville, Tennessee to the late Ray E and Beatrice Martin. Fred was a member of Crystal Hill Baptist Church in Little; enjoyed fishing, hunting and spending time with his children. Fred retired from Little Rock School district after 30 years.
He is also preceded in death by his siblings Jimmy Martin, Dorothy Martin Cattlit and a son Michael Allen. Shelby Franklin Ahart Jr, 73 of North Little Rock, Arkansas went to his heavenly home Monday, April 22, 2019. He was born on November 28, 1945 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Shelby Franklin Sr and Julia Bernice Ahart. Shelby enjoyed and was a baseball fan his entire life but spending time with his family was his greatest joy. Shelby served proudly in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.
He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years Karla Ahart; two daughters Kim Thompson (Bobby), Cheryl Ahart (Jed Darr); four grandchildren Shelby, Rhett, Noah, Ava; sisters Brenda Marlin, Pam Leisenring (Tom) and a host of other family and friends.

Evelyn Laverne Rose’s life’s story began on October 25, 1933 in Corpus Christi Texas; born to the late Evelyn Blake and Samuel Riley Rose. On April 9, 2019 after 85 years, she left us in Glenwood Arkansas, to be with her beloved family.
She was preceded in death by husband Chuck Lybarger, brother Leroy, brother Bill and daughter Rhonda Ulloth.
Laverne is survived by her brother Samuel Rose Jr. of Temple Texas and Francis Bardwell of Glenwood Arkansas.
Laverne grew up in Beeville Texas; for about 50 years lived in the Texas Coastal Bend Corpus Christi area. Her retirement years in Glenwood Arkansas. She was a devote Christian, wife and mother. She loved going to church; she loved fellowshipping with church family. Family was very important to Laverne; everything she did in her life was for the love of her own and extended family. In 1964 she adopted her daughter Rhonda. Rhonda and Chuck were the center of Laverne’s life. She enjoyed cooking, laughing, singing, and raising her family; including pets along the way, the last her beloved pug GiGi.

Dewey Earl Stanton, 71, of Mabelvale, Arkansas passed away on Wednesday April 24, 2019. He was born on October 9, 1947 in Magnolia, Arkansas.
He is preceded in death by his parents Dewey and Thelma Stanton; Sister Mary Propst; bonus daughter Terra Jones.

Glen Farrar, 76, of Lonoke passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2019. He was born in Delhi, Louisiana on July 2, 1942 to the late Jewel and Hyacinth Farrar.
He was an Army veteran who served in the Vietnam War, he also retired from Remington Arms and was a member of the Masonic Lodge #51 in Lonoke, Arkansas and the VFW Post 4548 in Jacksonville, Arkansas. Glen was a loving father, brother but enjoyed himself the most with his grandchildren.
Glen is preceded in death by his wife Judy Farrar, sister Ruby Nell Munholland and a nephew Ernest Lloyd McDaniel III.

Keith Kochel Venable, 62, of Alexander, Arkansas passed away from his life on Tuesday, April 23, 2019. He was on his job as building maintenance at Main Street Mall in Little Rock. He was born in Little Rock, AR to the late Joseph “Ward” Venable Sr., and Adelene Eudora on July 5, 1956.
He is also preceded in death by his siblings John David Venable, Joseph “Buddy” Venable Jr., sisters Bobbye Sue Venable, Paulette Harris, Linda Breeding, and Mary Nell Cohrt.
Keith leaves behind his soulmate and wife of 28 years, Sandy Venable. His sisters Katherine McHughes(Donald), Angela Sallis, brother Leonard Venable and numerous nieces and nephews.
Keith was the youngest of the family and was always there to help his family and friends.

Steven N. Thomas, 63 of Hot Springs, Arkansas passed from this life on April 21, 2019, at CHI St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs. He was born in Lynwood, California on December 14, 1955 to the late Robert Neil and Doris Busby Thomas.
Mr. Thomas was a graduate of Shasta High School. He was a professional painter for over 40 years. Steven enjoyed learning new languages, playing his guitar, cooking, growing his herbs and vegetables, as well as building new projects including his home.
Steven leaves behind his four children Neil Thomas, Jennifer Browne (Garrett), Amy Esner (Pablo), Michael Thomas (Mindy); grandchildren Josie Esner, Stella Browne, Aurora Thomas; siblings Patricia Carpenter, Pamela Thomas, Kathleen Hartley, Michael Thomas and a host of other loving family and friends.

She was loved and friends with everyone she met while serving as a teacher, a Girl Scout Leader, a Brownie Leader, and on the Woman’s Auxiliary. Marrian retired as a managing owner with AT&T.

Brenda Kay McCollum Johnson, 68, passed away at Unity Health Medical Center surrounded by family on Monday, April 29, 2019. She was born on August 16, 1950 in Alabama. She was the daughter of the late Jesse and Annie McCollum. In addition to her parents, Brenda was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, James Joseph Johnson, as well as, eight brothers and one sister. Left to cherish her memory are her children: David Johnson (Alisha) of Rector, AR, Katrina Hoofman (Kevin) of Searcy, AR, Contessa Whaite (Paul) of Madera, CA, and Timothy Johnson (Felicia) of Tacoma, WA; two step-children, Steve Johnson (Kim) of Visalia, CA and Tammy Kelly of Visalia, CA; one sister, Paula Avery of Searcy, AR, and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
Brenda was blessed to have resided at Integrity Residential Care Facility, where she developed wonderful friendships among the staff and residents, whom she loved dearly.
The family would like to show appreciation to the nurses and staff at Arkansas Hospice, especially, Quandi Clark, who Brenda loved and trusted from the first day they met. The family would also like to show appreciation to the nurses and staff at Unity Health for all of the compassion and care that was shown to Brenda and her family during this very difficult time.
